About eSIM and the device to use
A prepaid SIM/prepaid eSIM is a single-use SIM card/eSIM for which you pay a fee in advance to determine the data volume and duration of use.
eSIM stands for Embedded SIM, which is a SIM card built into smartphones and other devices. It does not need to be replaced like a physical SIM card and allows communication by remotely writing information.
You cannot purchase SIM cards on this site. If your device supports eSIM, you can use eSIM, so please consider purchasing from this site.
This service is available for devices that are eSIM compatible and SIM-free.
SIM-free devices are smartphones and other devices that are not “SIM-locked,” meaning that they can only use the SIM card of a specific telecommunications carrier.
Enter “*#06#” into the phone dialer and dial out. If you see the “EID” number on the screen, the handset is eSIM compatible.
what you can do with eSIM
The eSIMs sold on this site cannot be used for calls or SMS. However, you can use calling and messaging apps that use data communication such as WhatsApp and Facebook.
Yes, you can use tethering on your smartphones with eSIM.
It can be used in any tourist spot in Japan (excluding mountainous areas). It can be used in the Docomo/IIJ service area.
Cannot be used outside of Japan.
It cannot be used on multiple devices.
From purchase to use
1. Check if your device supports eSIM.
2. After your purchase, we will send you the information necessary for setup via email within approximately 5 minutes.
3. Once you arrive in Japan, install the eSIM.
4. Once the installation is complete, you can start using the service by connecting to the Internet.
You can pay by credit card.
Currently, payment by any method other than credit card is not possible.
We can issue one upon request. Please contact us using the contact form dedicated post-purchase contact form in the email sent at the time of purchase.
As required by Japanese law, domestic eSIMs and prepaid eSIMs are taxable items.
We recommend purchasing it before you travel to Japan. Once you purchase it, you will receive a QR code by email, so you can install it as soon as you arrive in Japan. However, please note that the installation date will be the start date for your eSIM.
You can purchase it before or after you arrive in Japan. However, please note that your data plan will start when you install the eSIM. We recommend that you install the eSIM using free Wi-Fi after entering Japan.

Check your device's Settings menu.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular and check if your eSIM (a 14-digit number) is listed.
On Android, go to Settings > SIM Card Settings and check if your eSIM is listed in the eSIM section.
Data communication speeds will be limited even during the subscription period.
Additional data charges are not possible. You can purchase a new eSIM.
Once the usage period has expired, you will no longer be able to use the data even if you have remaining data.

Questions about problems and malfunctions
We will send you an email from "notify@in-bound.shop" about 5 minutes after your purchase. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder as it is likely there. If you cannot find the email, please contact us using the form in the link below.
If you delete the eSIM, you will not be able to reinstall it and will not be able to use it. If you accidentally delete it, please purchase it again.
If the installation does not go well, please restart your smartphone (turn it off and then on) and try reading the QR code again. *The same display may appear if the SIM lock has not been unlocked.
Installation can only be done once per eSIM. If it has already been installed or you try to install it multiple times, the above error will be displayed.
Please note that if you delete the installed eSIM, you will not be able to reinstall it.
Please check the following points,
- APN is “vmobile.jp"
- Data roaming is turned on
- The default SIM for data communication is eSIM.
